Wes Carroll Confabulation

The Wes Carroll Confabulation marche sur la corde raide, en équilibrant des arrangements détaillés avec le pouvoir de la spontanéité. Depuis le début de l'année 2015, ils ont affiné leur mélange unique : s'étirer dans un monde de grooves hip-hop, de soul et d'électricité tout en ne perdant pas leur pied en jazz. À l'été 2018, ils ont sorti leur premier album "Off Empire", qui a culminé à la 4e place dans la catégorie jazz de !EarShot pour les diffusions nationales sur les campus et les radios communautaires. Leur set mélange chanteur-compositeur et instrumental avec des thèmes qui incluent la justice sociale, la surveillance, la santé mentale, le changement climatique et bien sûr, les chansons d'amour aussi. The Confab est retourné à Victoria, en Colombie-Britannique, car Wes a terminé sa maîtrise en interprétation jazz à l'Université de Toronto. Ils font actuellement la promotion de leur deuxième album de 2020 : "Elephant in the Sea".

The Wes Carroll Confabulation walks the tight-rope, balancing detailed arrangements with the power of spontaneity. Since early 2015, they have honed their unique blend: stretching out into a world of hip-hop grooves, soul and electricity while not losing their jazz footing. In the summer of 2018, they released their debut album “Off Empire” which peaked at #4 in !EarShot’s jazz category for national campus and community radio plays. Their set blends singer-songwriter and instrumental with themes that include social justice, surveillance, mental health, climate change and of course, love songs too. The Confab has returned to Victoria BC as Wes has finished his Masters in jazz performance at the University of Toronto. They are currently promoting their 2020 sophomore release: “Elephant in the Sea”.
